is a short animated film created for TRT World on the first anniversary of the Gaza war.

A brief but emotionally intense piece built around the memories of children whose stories stayed with the world.

CONSEPT DEVELOPMENT
The project initially started as a series of poster-style portraits inspired by movie key art.

Using double exposure compositions, I wanted each child’s story to reappear inside their portrait — like fragments of memory returning to life.

VISUAL PROCESS
As the concept evolved, I realized motion could create a much stronger emotional impact than static visuals.
That decision transformed the project from a graphic poster series into a short animated film.

I selected four children whose stories had become unforgettable during the conflict.
Using AI-generated portraits combined with double exposure techniques, I tried to recreate moments that still remain in collective memory.

ANIMATION PROCESS
To avoid a static feeling, I created frame-by-frame animated assets and combined them with compositing techniques inside Adobe After Effects.

The goal was to make each portrait feel alive — somewhere between memory and reality.

BEHIND THE PROCESS
This project became one of the most intense creative processes I’ve experienced.
Blending AI imagery, frame-by-frame animation, graphic design, and cinematic compositing into a single workflow pushed me into a completely new creative space.

Below, I’m sharing more details from the creative process behind the film.

I hope you enjoy exploring it as much as I did creating it.
